PODCONF today announces a licensing agreement with Bitcoin podcaster and influencer Rob Hamilton, giving PODCONF management rights over his distinctive giggle, a sound instantly familiar to many in the Bitcoin podcasting world.
The move comes several weeks after a now-infamous Twitter Spaces session in which Hamilton and fellow Tier-1 influencer Portland Hodl made a string of controversial jokes about “low-IQ plebs.” Though the broadcast stirred backlash across the community, Hamilton now appears to be leaning into his public profile by formalizing control over one of his most recognizable personal assets.
In addition to standard licensing provisions, the agreement includes plans to tokenize Hamilton’s giggle as a PODCONF Digital Asset, with a public release targeted for early 2026. The tokenized version of the giggle is expected to allow limited usage rights, collectible ownership, and possibly fractional licensing in meme, podcast, and media contexts.
Hamilton commented,
“Turns out people really do want to replay my laugh. If they’re going to do it, they can do it on-chain.”
A PODCONF representative added,
“We think the Hamilton giggle has cultural and economic value. This licensing deal plus tokenization is a natural extension of our mission to professionalize the Bitcoin audio economy.”
All inquiries about licensing, token rights, or use of Rob Hamilton’s giggle should be directed to PODCONF’s official communications channels, as listed on the Contact page.
