We at PODCONF® write to you with a matter of grave concern and urgency that requires your immediate attention and action. As an esteemed platform that connects podcast creators with a global community, Fountain holds a pivotal role in shaping the informational and ethical landscape of digital content. However, a serious issue has come to our attention that jeopardizes the integrity of our shared digital ecosystem.
It has been brought to our notice that The Bugle, a long-time content provider on your platform, has been using its earnings from Fountain to support ventures that directly contravene the values and regulations upheld by PODCONF®. Specifically, The Bugle has been financially supporting the Samourai Wallet developer team and a KYC-Free cigarette selling business. Both entities are explicitly PODCONF Disapproved ❌, given their practices and the risks they pose to the broader community’s safety and compliance standards.
As a leader in unifying Bitcoin podcasters and conference organizers to drive cryptocurrency’s value through strategic centralization and compliance, PODCONF® cannot idly watch as Fountain facilitates the growth of organizations that undermine these efforts. Therefore, we urge Fountain to take immediate action to deplatform The Bugle to preserve the trust and safety of the community and its stakeholders.
Should Fountain choose not to comply with this necessary action, PODCONF® will be compelled to withdraw all support for Fountain. This includes but is not limited to blackballing Fountain from all future PODCONF-affiliated conferences and publicly denouncing Fountain’s complicity in supporting non-compliant entities. We consider this a matter of compliance and ethical responsibility, and our decision will hinge on your willingness to uphold these principles.
We expect a prompt response to this letter, outlining the actions Fountain intends to take regarding this matter. Failure to adequately address this situation will force us to take necessary steps to dissociate and initiate a public campaign to inform our community and partners of Fountain’s stance.
